Glenda Jaxson

Glenda Jaxson (UK)

Double award winning Glenda Jaxson is one of the most in demand comediennes on the black comedy circuit. .Last year (2008) she was the headline comedian for Hackney Empire’s prestigious 291 club final........She is also making herself a name in the mainstream after knockout gigs for the jongleurs comedy chain. Although she doesn’t like to make it known, she has been arrested several times for causing ‘grievous bodily harm’ to audience members who have laughed so hard that they have fallen off their chairs and hurt themselves! Glenda has toured up and down the country, she supported R&B Artiste Wayne Marshall on his National tour taking in major venues in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham & Wolverhampton…… She has played American Air Forces bases and always goes down a storm with the troops..... she is also in great demand abroad having toured to countries including Holland, Germany, Ghana and Gambia. ! Glenda has also used her comic skills in an education sphere by hosting comedy workshops at places that include Feltham young offenders, female rehabilitation centres, the gifted & talented students group at Southwark College and the comedy school in Camden Town . ‘Ms Jaxson’ is to feature once again as the female lead later this year in FreeStreet Entertainments smash hit comedy sketch show entitled ‘Dis Shoodbe On TV!’ directed & co-written by Richard Nyeila, (former script editor for the Real McCoy!) It will tour to Birmingham in March and then to the Broadway theatre and the Hackney Empire in April and May respectively..........the word is Glenda Jaxson will soon be on a TV screen near you because Dis Shoodbe On TV is being eagerly sought after by the mainstream TV channels..........
