Comedian Curtis Walker

Curtis Walker started in comedy in the late Eighties, as half of the double act Curtis and Ismail, Alongside a comic called Ishmail Thomas.  The pair hosted the 2nd series of the BBC stand-up show called Paramount City in 1991.  He was also in the cast of BBC 2's sketch show The Real McCoy, which started the same year, and co-hosted Blouse and Skirt with Gina Yashere in 1996.

As a stand-up, he is a regular on the Jongleurs circuit and has a one-man show entitled Right Now. He has been named best male stand-up from Black Issues In Community Arts and won the awkwardly named Top Carlton TV Multicultural Entertainment & Comedy Award.

JEP Quote:  "As kids with Jamaican heritage growing up in the eighties and nineties Sammy, Damian and I were all inspired by The Real McCoy.  Along with Felix Dexter and Robbie Gee, Curtis was one of the stars of the show.  So when we had the chance to work with Curtis we were actually star stuck for a moment.  To me Curtis Walker is one of the Comedy heroes of the UK.  He was a pleasure to work with and would love to work with him again in the future".
